Immediate task ahead hotel industry is one which so well knitted with the daily needs of society like any other infrastructure sector. Hoteliers in Bangalore and Karnataka are oppressed by frequent and constantly changing statue, regulations and unfriendly implementation by various statutory agencies, while most other states have recognized the hardships of hoteliers. we need to unite and stand for the regulations which are people friendly. Our immediate next agenda would be:
Opposing Hike in Licensing fees
To form a hard core group to oppose against steep hike in Bar licence fee.
Opposing GST on FMCG and Persihable goods
To strongly represent before State Government to oppose GST on Prepared Fresh/perishable food Preparations.
Enhance Room Rent Limit
To represent suitably enhance threshold limit on room rents defined under Luxury Tax Act.
Waive Tax on Catering
To represent for a waiver of service tax on outside catering of prepared fresh/perishable food preparations.
Usage of LPG Cylinders
To obtain suitable notification by ESI authorities exempting usage of certain number LPG cylinders in hotel / eatery from ESI coverage.

A monthly magazine by BBHA.
There are some 21 various Acts and regulations applicable to Hoteliers causing difficulty in understanding them for compliances.
BBHA conducts awareness programs/meetings for members periodically.
Uniting the members of the hotel industry to form a protection group to challenge problems faced by the industry from time to time by adverse policy decisions imposed on the Hoteliers.
Representing the interest of the members before Bruhath Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) pertaining to the issue of annual hotel licenses, steep hike in property tax and to mitigate the constraints thereon.
Representing the interests of members before the Pollution Control Board, which has stipulated stringent procedures for water, air and garbage disposal norms for Hoteliers.
Representing before Department of Labour, ESI and PF authorities for the problems of small and medium Hotel enterprises.
Representing before other public statutory authorities including VAT, Luxury Tax, Police, Food department, Public health Authorities to alleviate adverse policy decision affecting hoteliers in general from time to time.
Identifying and honouring deserving members who have excelled in their service to the hotel industry.
